Supernatural America: The Paranormal in American Art
Toledo Museum of Art, June 12–September 5, 2021; Speed Art Museum, October 7, 2021–January 2, 2022; Minneapolis Institute of Art, February 19–May 15, 2022. Organized by the Minneapolis Institute of Art, this is the first museum exhibition to broadly examine the relationship between American artists and the supernatural. It features approximately 160 interdisciplinary, multicultural, and multimedia objects made from the early nineteenth century to the present. An illustrated 320-page catalogue edited by curator Robert Cozzolino accompanies the exhibition.
